题目:无线通信系统中的分集技术/The Diversity Techniques in Wireless Communication Systems
Fading is a major issue for wireless communications. To combat fading, diversity is a key technique. The conventional diversity techniques include time diversity, frequency diversity and spatial diversity, which consume resources in time, frequency and transceiver complexity, respectively. Over the past ten years of my career, one of my research topics is to investigate how to exploit the diversity in a more efficient way. In this talk, I'll introduce signal space diversity, transmit antenna selection diversity, cooperative diversity, and polarization diversity. I'll introduce the concepts of these diversity techniques, their implementation difficulties and also my contributions.

题目:微流控光子学技术/Microfluidics and Optofluidics
微纳流控技术是在微机械、微电子、生物工程以及纳米技术基础上发展起来的一门全新的交叉学科。该领域的研究以微纳芯片为平台,将生化领域所涉及的样品制备、反应分离与检测等基本操作单元集成到微纳芯片上,用以完成不同的生物和化学反应过程,并对其产物进行分析。而微纳流控光子学则是将微纳流控技术与光子学相结合,在微观尺度上实现光和流体的相互操控及传感。目前,微纳流控光子学器件在信息、生物医学、环境监测等领域表现出巨大的应用潜力,成为国际上的研究热点。报告将介绍微纳芯片实验室及微流控光子学技术,并介绍我们最近在微流控光子学器件加工及探测方面的一些进展。
