Instrumentation System Design Engineer (Intern/Full-time)

Work in Instrumentation R&D

Our team is focused on designing and developing new instrumentations that are customized to measure and calibrate Apple new products. From motherboard level to module assembly process, we design different kinds of instrumentations to meet strict and unique requirements of Apple products. If you’re passionate to design something to serve every Apple product, welcome to join us to bring out state of the art instrumentations.

Description

The system design engineer will be in charge of developing customized test instruments and complete test systems to validate and calibrate the electrical performance of Apple products, focused on PCB motherboard, sensors and display. The ideal candidate is an EE with good scripting skills, and most of all, enjoys shipping a working system instead of designs on paper.

1.Design and troubleshoot electrical functional test equipment such as precise voltage/current meter, high resolution frequency counter, efficient and fast power supply, etc. 


2.Prototype HW test systems. Propose, review and implement validation plans. 


3.Create and maintain functional test plans, troubleshoot test plan implementation. 


4.Circuit analysis and simulation. 


5.Data review and analysis. 


6.Manage suppliers and manufacturing partners. 


Requirements 


1.BS/MS EE, based in Shanghai/Shenzhen. 


2.Have design experiences in some of these areas: audio circuit, linear/switching power supply, high speed 
signal integrity, USB3/DisplayPort/HDMI/MIPI, high precision ADC, ARM-based MCU system programming. 


3.Must have hands-on experiences with bench equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply, DMM and electronic load. 


4.Design, simulate and evaluate different calibration algorithms. 


5.Clear logic to perform failure analysis, find the root cause and propose corrective solution. 


Preferred Experience (one or more of below experiences will be a plus) 


1.PCB layout


2.Programming skills in Python, C/C++/Objective-C, Matlab

3.Embedded system development


4.FPGA RTL design


5.Optical knowledge
