Electromagnetics (EM) theory plays an important role in modern communication and information technologies. This course introduces the inverse problems in EM fields and waves, discussing important potential applications of EM waves, including microwave imaging, wireless localization, new RADAR systems, microwave measurement and the optimization of the design for microwave components and antennas, etc. The contents of this course include a brief summarization of EM theory, the origination, the oretical basis and methods of inverse problem, general modeling and solving, optimization and discrimination. The course is opened for graduate students in the areaofelectro-physics, EM fields and microwave technology.
