In September, before the 36th Teachers’ Day, Zhejiang University announced 10 winners of the 2020 Yongping Teaching Award. Prof.Zhiguo SHI from ISEE won the 2020 Yongping Teaching  Contribution Award, each receiving 200 thousand yuan in prize money.

In the past 20 years, Prof.Zhiguo SHI has devoted himself to teaching educating and guiding students becoming talents and taken high moral values establishment as well as people cultivation as the fundamental task. Since taking up the post, he has undertaken 12 undergraduate courses and 1 postgraduate course teaching. In recent five years, he has taught four courses: digital system design, introduction to information and electronic engineering, system design of Internet of things, and it engineering ethics and project management. The excellent rate of 15 undergraduate teaching classes is 87%, and the average teaching workload in recent two years has exceeded 400 class hours. As the class teacher of 2018 innovation class, and served as friend of new students for many times.

For years, He continued to carry out teaching reform and explore innovative teaching mode. Four teaching materials have been published successively, and soon another three textbooks; five teaching papers have been published; three teaching reform projects have been presided over; three online MOOC has been constructed. The number of MOOCS selected by him exceeded 32000, and he was launched into the learning power platform in March 2020.

He has been widely recognized for his efforts in teaching. SHI has won the first prize of ZJU's high-quality teaching, the TANG Lixin teaching award of ZJU, and the advanced individual of ZJU in teaching and educating people. He has also won the student's favorite teacher twice.
