The 7th IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China(ICCC) was successfully held in Beijing from August 16th to 18th, 2018. The conference was a flagship conference in the field of communications held in China by the IEEE Communication Society.

At the conference, the academic paper "Ambient Backscatter Communications Systems Using MFSK Modulation" written by the doctoral student Tao Qin from the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering as the first author (instructor: Associate Professor Zhong Caijun) won the best paper award. This paper proposes a new idea based on high-order FSK modulation, and designs a low-complexity demodulation method to better solve the problem of low transmission rate of backscatter communication system based on environmental signals.

IEEE ICCC 2018 received 369 papers from 24 countries and regions, accepted 170 papers and selected four best papers. The award rate was 2.35% of the number of papers accepted.
