ISEE-Missouri S&T Summer Exchange Programme Ends with Resounding Success

Date:2017-11-08

In the summer of 2017, recommended by Professor Li Erping, 4 senior students from ISEE participated in the Missouri University of Science and Technology exchange programme. These four students successfully completed the nine-week long research internships in EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) laboratory, under the guidance of Professor James Drewniak.

During the internship, these four students completed four different research programmes in regard to power integrity respectively. They reported on the progress and future plans to professors on a weekly basis. While improving their research and academic capability, as well as English communication skills, they established a good relationship with professors and learned various presentation skills from them. In the process of simulation study, students conducted some experimental tests and mastered new methods of test and experimental design.

During the 5th week, they attended the EMC+SIPI 2017 Symposium in Washington with professors and graduates from the lab. Meanwhile, they volunteered to assist engineers and scholars at the conference, which was a valuable experience.

In the last, after the internship, they delivered a final presentation of their projects in front of all the professors in the lab and gained unanimous recognition, which officially ended the two-month long summer exchange programme.
