Optical fiber sensing uses optical fiber as a signal transmission or sensitive component to detect the measurement, and has the characteristics of intrinsic insulation, anti-electromagnetic interference and distributed sensing network.As an important branch of modern sensing technology, fiber optic sensing technology has the advantage of replacing traditional sensors in many applications.This course focuses on fiber-optic sensors and focuses on different types of sensors such as intensity modulation, phase modulation, wavelength modulation, and polarization modulation; and the principles, techniques, and design methods of sensor networks and distributed fiber sensors;Introduce two core technologies of fiber optic sensing - network technology and packaging technology; and introduce new fiber optic sensors for fiber optic sensing - polymer fiber optic sensors, photonic crystal fiber sensors, micro/nano photosensors and new optical waveguidessensor.
