Course Introduction
Microwave photonics is emerging research subject which has important applications in communications, measurements, defense and so on. This course introduces important achievements made in the field of microwave photonics over the past decade. It focuses on a variety of aspects involved in the generation, distribution, measurement, and control of micro-and millimeter-wave signals as well as the enabling devices and components. This course cover the contents of the theory, technology and applications of microwave photonics, such as radio over fiber, optically controlled phased-array antenna, opto-electric oscillator, terahertz photonics etc.
